Reaching out to others

April 10, 2011

Political debate is great, but it’s no good just talking amongst ourselves.  We in the Labour Party must always be facing outwards, to connect with other people.

This means that our websites also have to ‘face outwards’.  They need somehow to connect equally easily both with Party members and with the general public.

This is where external www sites such as, for instance, Facebook, Twitter and (even sometimes) LinkedIn become important.

As part of your basic campaign package we can create ‘sister’ pages for you on e.g. Facebook and Twitter, so you will be able to post your articles and news on these external pages.  This connects your website effortlessly with other people outside the immediate group.

That way you will begin to see who’s interested in what you have to say and, equally importantly, you can find out in an upfront and constructive way what they themselves are thinking and saying about your positions and ideas.

Now that’s real political dialogue, not ‘just’ Ward or Constituency debate.
